Rocky J Malloy
Founder & CEO, National School Chaplain Association
Rocky J. Malloy is the founder and CEO of the National School Chaplain Association (NSCA). This global movement has trained and certified over 42,000 chaplains serving in more than 36,000 schools across 23 countries. For nearly three decades, Rocky has devoted his life to bringing spiritual care, moral clarity, and emotional support to students, teachers, and families through the presence of school chaplains.
An ordained minister and seasoned educator, Rocky has testified as a subject matter expert on school chaplain legislation in numerous state legislatures and was recently invited to the White House to discuss a national chaplaincy initiative. His work establishing legally sound chaplaincy programs is widely recognized for restoring the constitutional right to voluntary prayer in public schools.
He overcame a tough start in the ministry; he faced a life sentence in a Mexican prison for conspiracy to overthrow the national government, only to be fully pardoned 72 hours later.
His passion for the Gospel led him through the Sandinista civil war, Bolivian uprisings, and journeys through rebel-held territory in Colombia, ministering in some of the world’s most volatile regions. On the Honduran-Nicaraguan border, he met Joske in a combat zone—a Dutch nurse, supermodel, and fellow frontline missionary. Together, they discovered a life-changing truth: the most effective way to protect children from organ harvesting, trafficking, and exploitation is to keep them in school.
In 2021, the Malloy family returned to Texas and launched the National School Chaplain Association, introducing their proven model into U.S. public schools—Rocky’s bold vision: a certified chaplain on every school campus in America.
Rocky Malloy’s story is a true-life epic of faith, courage, and redemption. His journey inspired the award-winning short film Pirate School, which won Best Christian Documentary Short at the Great Lakes Film Festival in 2022.
Today, Rocky Malloy is a visionary leader, a bestselling author, an international speaker, and a tireless advocate for parental rights and spiritual renewal in education. His message is clear: the Church must reclaim its influence in shaping culture—beginning with chaplaincy in schools.
